Organizing Ninja Series: THE CLOSET

Organizational Personalities

Learning to organize the way that will fit you best and the situation best

Some people are just tidy. They can't work without a clean desk, they can't sleep if their bed wasn't made before they got in, and all their clothing is color coded in their closet for quick picking. However, most people struggle with organization because lets face it, not everyones bedroom can look like a staged model at Ikea. However, no matter how stuck we feel with “messy”, we all have the invitation to ignite change in our lives.

As one of those neat and tidy people who has lived with many different roommates over the years and currently resides with my sister, who is definitely one of those... eclectic types. I’ve learned we aren't all designed the same so why should “organization” only come in one box?

My hope is to dismantle some of the fear people have around organization and the word “discipline” when it comes to making changes in your everyday world. I want to encourage you to have hope, set a goal, get creative, and set your room to order.

With that, lets begin!

Spring Cleaning: The Closet, The Heart, The Mind:

An Introduction

We have had terrible snow days recently, but despite the snow and ice the cold has not stopped the myrtles from budding. A few mornings ago, I heard the sweet chirping of birds outside of my window. Their singing announced that spring was upon us whether winter liked it or not. I have always loved the springtime, especially because I get to watch the flowers bloom and the earth turn green again. Who can't help but smile when the daffodils’ sunny yellow faces bloom? Or when your azaleas pop with pink and purple petals.

When springtime comes, many people talk about refreshing themselves. We start work-outs in a desperate attempt to prepare for bikini season. We aim to clean the clutter out of our closets, or under our beds, or in our dressers, cabinets, and more. Some of us even strive to bring order to our hearts and minds. We slow down, take more walks with friends, or at least, plan to.
This spring time, I too want to get out and do some spring cleaning of my own heart, mind, and closet. Join me on this 14 day week journey to a better more refreshed blooming you.
